Membership and Volunteer OpportunitiesBecome a Member! The Bonk Festival of New Music has developed into a significant international forum for contemporary classical music. The festival strives to generate greater public awareness of experimental music beyond current trends, and to encourage collaboration among local and guest artists from around the world to help make the Tampa Bay community an internationally-recognized center for musical experimentation. Bonk has always relied on the generosity of our artists, volunteers, supporters and sponsors to make ends meet. This year, we are confronted with new limitations on concert revenue as well as the effects of severe state budget cuts in the arts. In these difficult times, we need your help more than ever. The cost in time and money of merely producing the festival each year is increasing, and we are trying to take significant steps toward better compensation of our artists and part-time staff, without whom there simply would be no festival at all. If you value the opportunity to hear unusual, often groundbreaking live music, please consider becoming a member of Bonk. Among other benefits, your contribution will help us to:
